The FAIRTRADE Mark guarantees a fair deal for farmers growing agricultural products in the developing world. The FAIRTRADE Certified Cotton Mark guarantees that the farmers who grow the cotton fibre used in FAIRTRADE Certified Cotton Mark products receive a fair and stable price including a premium which provides the opportunity to improve their communities. The Fairtrade Foundation is the UK independent body that awards the FAIRTRADE Mark to products that meet international fair trade standards.

Fair Wear Foundation

Promotes good labour conditions in the garment industry. The foundation verifies that member companies work to enhance labour conditions in the factories where they source their garments. Where improvements are needed these are implemented and monitored together with the Fair Wear Foundation. A Dutch initiative of: Modint, Mitex, FNV, FNV Bondgenoten, Wereld Winkel, Schone Kleren Kampagne, Oxfam Novib, Max Havelaar Organisation.
