Terramar News Returns

The Terramar Organics Newsletter, December 2008

Welcome to this month's newsletter

It has been far too long since we sent out our last newsletter, but "better late than never" as the saying goes, so here it is.

The News Returns
The purpose of the Newsletter is to bring you the latest news from Terramar Organics and to share with you any stories or information we think may be of interest. This newsletter is also available online at: http://www.terramar.co.uk/pages/cafe/newsletter/

Surviving the credit crunch
You will be glad to know, and we are delighted that, Terramar is surviving the global financial crisis aka “the credit crunch”, aka “the recession”. Thankfully, our “millions” are tucked away in the hands of our producers' crops and products rather than in the US housing market or shady hedge funds.

New structure for the Terramar Café
Some significant changes have taken place in recent months at the home of Terramar Organics: http://www.terramar.co.uk. In particular, check out the Café section of the site: http://www.terramar.co.uk/pages/cafe/. And, if you want the latest as soon as it becomes available here is a link to our RSS feeds: http://www.terramar.co.uk/rss.

Honey Bees
As previously discussed in our May 2007 Newsletter, bee populations around the world are in rapid decline. Why not do your bit to help the honeybee in 2009 and beyond: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/may/13/wildlife.endangeredspecies

Christmas and the New Year
Apparently, it seems that Christmas is on its way again and another year has passed. Christmas lights in all shapes and sizes have been lit up and down the country. For example, see Aberdeen’s Union Street lights here: http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/web/includes/webcam/camviewer.asp?id=UNIONSTREET – best viewed during the hours of darkness. There’s even a wee tree on show too at Aberdeen's Castlegate here: http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/web/includes/webcam/camviewer.asp?id=CASTLEGATE. If you prefer to avoid the High Street during this busy shopping period, why not check out what we have on offer online at http://www.terramar.co.uk. Yep, that’s right - no queues, rain or busy streets to contend with… nice.

That's all for this edition of the Terramar newsletter folks. May we wish you an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas and a healthy, happy and successful 2009.

Best wishes
Peter and Tom
