The connection to the server has been lost

We are currently experiencing a major technical failure, this is due to a mismanaged domain name service at our hosts 1and1 internet which is affecting connections to our database servers. We are currently working on resolving the issue.

Once our database servers are back online we may consider running a simile competition. So start thinking of your favourite similes now. Here's one for starters: 1and1 internet are as capable of running a hosting company as George Bush is of running a country. Not terribly snappy, but you get the drift I'm sure.

Please note that our email server is unaffected.
